Sakurai Sho is one very remarkable man. ♥
I actually did something like this during his birthday and it made me want to do it again. I love the diversity this guy brings to all his TV appearances. It's purely fascinating to just stare at him and hmmm, let's put it this way...to be confounded by his bakaness and to be mesmerized by his sultriness both at the same time. It's simply incredible.

It was this Friday, exactly a year ago, when Maou premiered on TBS. Ohno's immense acting talent was finally showcased for everyone to see, feel and experience.
I don't know why I suddenly remembered it today. I guess it was because I just watched the VS Arashi episode with Toma as their guest. I love the friendship that blossomed between Rida and Toma. It's like a sibling relationship with Ohno as the big brother and his adorable little brother.
What struck me the most during this episode was when Ohno did something with his hands during the Falling Pipe segment, Toma's eyes lit up! It was immediately followed with a bright smile! You can definitely notice how Toma adores Rida. I was so touched that I felt like crying tears of joy. The way Toma dotes on Oh-chan melts my heart.
INXS: Did you catch a glimpse of the way Toma inched closer to Nino to show him the commemorative picture of his participation in the show? Isn't that the sweetest?
For those like me who are holding office jobs, we should have a colleague like Rida. With his adorable facial mannerisms, he brightens up a drab and dreary day at work.
INXS: Last Thursday's Himitsu no Arashi-chan made me wonder why was Ohno the only one who didn't have his birthday as his uniform number. And the way he said Justin Timberlake and Linkin Park was so squishly cute!
During the VS Arashi episode with Harisenbon, Nino being shy all over the place is something that I look forward to in all of their shows. Jun being a Do-S and Aiba's hair and hips always do the damage to their willing guests. Even Sho was devastatingly handsome when it was his turn at the Falling Pipe segment. But it was Rida and his 'hai' and 'maa' that got to me! He was intently staring at Haruka then, out of the blue, walked around in circles as if he was in his very own little world. I just love the man! ♥
I'm finally done downloading last Friday's Uta no Oniisan. I can't wait to see this man that I truly adore! ♥
Also, did Nino just bonk Ohno's head on VS Arashi last Saturday? Haha! That was absolutely hilarious! And Jun being endearing when he failed to reach the top in his segment. This man knows how to charm the audience!
Honestly, I don't know what happened to me but I have turned into a weepy girl because of these two moments. Before going to sleep last night, Nino's version of Orion was on constant repeat. Being emo made me think that Nino was hurting while singing this song. He conveys so much emotion, it's like he yearns for pain. Don't mind me. Nino turns me into an emotional ball of goo. XD
My second Kleenex-induced moment was seeing Sho doing the A-ra-shi hand movements at the Comic Con. That was a classic moment etched forever in my mind. He was so humbled by the fact that many actually went to see him. I loved seeing his reactions from shock to amazement to incredulity to utter happiness. Plus, Sho speaking English was such a big turn on!
Have you seen Arashi amazed? I'm sure one time or another, we did. But this was a collective group expression and I just love it.
When Nino is serious, he is dead serious. His eyes are sparkling with utter determination.
Aiba has definitely started the year with a bang. And he best illustrates this with one big thumbs up!
Sweet, funny, sexy, adorable and feeling hazukashii because of his booboo -- everything rolled into one!
Sho, Sho, Sho. I could never get enough of you and your to-die-for expressions!
I've been out and about this week, going to different places and generally, having a lot fun celebrating the Christmas season. So, real life has been one big happy bowl of wonderful thoughts. Thus, resting this weekend and downloading Arashi shows at a record pace has been both exciting and tiring. Now, here's what I've missed but finally have caught up with.
Himitsu no Arashi:
- The band-aid on Sho-kun's neck was both funny and very adorable.
- Aiba removing his beanie to formally say thank you to the fishermen for helping him and Ohno catch fish was such a polite gesture. Shaking hands, too, was a sign that he has truly become a man.
- Hearing Tomadoinagara on an Arashi TV show has always been a dream mine. Just one word, yes!
- A little bit late but can I just say that I've noticed that the soles of their sneakers are red. Kawaii!
- The grayish-silvery outfits were stylish and I love how crisp their white long sleeves were especially the one that Sho wore.
- Sho making his eyes bigger and bigger and Nino pointing to the aerial cam...cuteness overload!
- Jun saying "oseyo" after his cliff climb. Domyouji, bring it on!
- Nino somewhat rubbing Ohno's tummy and later on, shaking his hand. They really can't physically not be together.
- The Nino-Aiba moment in the shower.
- Jun and Nino pwned me in the Rolling Coin Tower segment. Their stares were to-die for.
- Sho looked hot when he let the Guest Team win. Why can you still be that hot after losing? *wonders out loud*
- Aiba comforting Sho during the presentation of the gifts.
- Seeing my fave Japanese gymnast in the CM for the SP. Why did I forget his name now?
Ryuusei no Kizuna Episode 9:
Before I immerse myself in episode 10, let me flail first over episode 9. Manly boy rolled into one.
Another facet. The Thinking Boy.
Bond. James Bond. Oops. Ariake. Ariake Koichi desu.
The profile just kills.
Trying his darndest best not to cry. I bet, most of us, cried along with him.
He can be a cuddly little boy...
But turns into one mad man. Or we could interpret this as a start of a budding romance...the more you hate, the more you love. Koichi x Sagi. ♥
He could actually be funny too. Sagi, just give him some more time.
Let's all have a magnificent week! :)
Let me count the ways...
- How Jun stared at Sho when he was chosen as the support. Especially the part when he was walking away with those deadly eyes. If looks could kill, we would all be happy dead. Haha!
- Ohno saying no to be Sho's support...priceless.
- I love the hair on Sho's arms. ♥
- Sho was so noisy during the climb when he was requesting assistance from Jun. Jun was trying to stop his laughter and he was also trying his best not to help Sho. Bad boy! XD
- Aiba, Ohno and Nino were laughing at Keio boy when he was trying to jump over the steel bar. He obviously had a hard time doing that. But the climb up when he was pulling himself, damn that was sexy.
- When the boys were having a countdown for Sho to jump with Jun leading the way, anyone could have melted with his "dousho?"
- I'm sure that this time, the cameraman avoided Sho from hitting him so he had this wonderful landing like a plane or yeah, he was again channeling Pegasus.
- In Rolling Coin Tower, you could see that Nino likes to sit down wherever, whenever, whatever. Look at his pose, so comfy like he's just at home watching TV.
- Jun being Do-S towards Aiba since Aiba's feeling guilty in not making the other guy win.
- Aiba being beautiful and shy by hiding since the guest only got one of the poles.
- Rida touching the pole that the wrestler touched because it shook and literally rattled. The look of amazement on his eyes at the strength of the man.
- Rida getting mad at Sho. No words, no words.
- Sho's gorgeous laugh at teasing and at being teased
- Sho saying a formal sorry to Ohno.
- Ohno trading barbs with the guest.
- A lingering Ohmiya high-five.
- Sho being teased by the muscle-man and apologizing again.
- Nino closing his eyes and feeling the pressure of the game.
- Nino putting his arm subtly behing Rida's back in the sofa.
INXS: Out of the blue, I suddenly remembered a Shukudai-kun episode a few weeks back. I love Aiba's chirpy way of saying his name and when he said "hai, hai, hai" and waving at the end. He will forever be Peter Pan.
INXS 2: Congrats Oh-chan on your new drama! I can't wait for January to come. We have definitely all marked our calendars!
VS Arashi, that is. :)
Many have talked about how great the new game is and I agree. Thank God it's a holiday tomorrow. I can rest and definitely blog some more about this episode. Once again, I'm jotting down these precious moments I've seen since I can't sleep.
- Nino doing something in the opening sequence with the cameraman. Trying to be thug or something. Plus, he again did those infamous little kicks in the Falling Pipe segment.
- Nino hugging Rida while clapping at the same time. This boy has tentacles, I tell you.
- The guest touching Sho and Aiba like they were religious artifacts or monumental museum finds. Of course, they're precious...they're Arashi! XD
- Jun being polite to Rida when he gave his jacket before the game.
- Jun and Aiba were so awesome in Jumping Shooter! They showed how athletic they were with their hand and body coordination, their jumps and the trajectories of their balls -- just went swooshing by!
- Nino being caring towards Aiba by helping him up after the game. I found it cute how Aiba was wiping his sweat during Nino and Sho's turn and putting back the face towel immediately. Aiba, don't hide it because we can see you. It's okay.
- Nino, I'm sure, was teasing Sho by pointing at him a number of times after Keio boy immediately and actively volunteered to be the goalkeeper for Arashi.
- Sho mentioned something about being a Johnny's MVP. I guess he's referring to Nino who's going to be a steady team player and will get the job done for the Arashi team.
- Aiba being nice to the guest and was beside him right after falling down from exhaustion.
- Rida is really good with his facial movements since he showed how "safe" looks like in the Rolling Coin Tower game. Jun was equally genki especially when they won in this round. Smiles all around.
- When it was Sho's turn in asking the questions in the Falling Pipe game, Jun had a teasing smile on when he said to Sho, "Take care." Or you could take it as something like, "Is it going to be okay with you as our player?" Jun was definitely being sarcastic yet sweet. A Jun and Sho moment!
- Tegoshi did well in getting 80 points with his hands holding the pipes backwards.
- Aiba has always unconsciously showed us his boxers. Haha!
- Ohno and the other male guest being dorky with their facial expressions. A sophisticated "ehhh" version.
- Lastly, I love their bubble jackets!!!
INXS: After "September" became my monthly anthem, Himitsu no Arashi made me have another last song syndrome. After seeing me watch last Thursday's episode in front of our family PC, my aunts are singing "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing" constantly this weekend. Aaaah, the song is reverberating in my head. I want it to stop!
But this episode showed how much Arashi would be there for one another no matter what. Add to that were the worried faces of Nino, Sho and Jun when they started watching Aiba and Ohno's ordeal. More importantly, when Rida was going to capture some bee footage in the ceiling, Aiba tapped his behind to comfort Oh-chan. That was a very subtle way of saying, "You can do it, Rida."
And Nino doing this...♥♥♥
It's 1:30 am and I still can't sleep. I guess I'll go back to reading. *ehem ehem Annie and Mel-chan*
Oyasumi, everyone!
